Hyundai Engineering & Construction is enjoying the effect of the national team.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction recorded a set score of 3-0 (25-22, 30-28) in the first Group A match of the “2023 Gumi Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament” against KGC Ginseng Corporation at 4:20 p.m. on the 29th.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction started the first set in a good mood. I took a set with various attack patterns. The second set was the winner. Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which was dragged to the second set, went up to 19-23 but tied the score by winning four consecutive points, and won the second set by a come-from-behind victory after a close deuce match. Hyundai Engineering & Construction won the following third set.
Setter Kim Da-in and outside hitter Jung Ji-yoon showed off their performances. The two participated in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) for the Korean national team. Kim Da-in, who has accumulated experience in the national team, led the attack with a stable toss, and Jung Ji-yoon returned his trust with 17 points, the team’s highest score.
After the game, Kim Da-in and Jung Ji-yoon met with reporters and talked about the first game.
Regarding the change after the national team life, Kim Da-in said, “I think I have been able to afford it for now. Even if the play is blocked, I try to be confident. There was an image of me finding an easy play in a difficult situation. Even when it is difficult, I try to take various attack options.”
Jeong Ji-yoon also said, “I went to the national team and had a lot of experience. Last year, I was a player led by his older sisters. But now I want to help my teammates.”
Dain Kim clearly explained the meaning of focusing on his game. Dain Kim said, “I don’t care about competing with other setters. I don’t like to compare myself to others. I’m trying to do better than last year. I have my own strengths, so I’m focusing on that.”
Jung Ji-yoon also said, “I used to hit triangular hits. Then I felt that there was a lack of a straight course. I’m going to use both. “The cross hits the ball quickly and the straight line is drawn a little more, so I’m trying to attack.”
