HIPPODROME CASINO TO HOST INTERNATIONAL THOUGHT-LEADERS AT ICE SYMPOSIUM

The iconic Hippodrome Casino, located in the heart of London’s West End, will host the 2023 ICE Symposium taking place September 12.

The Symposium, a initiative launched last year by Clarion Gaming, will be attended by more than 100 invited industry thought leaders from 17 countries covering both the land-based and digital gaming sectors.

Andy Ventris, director of events for the London ICE, heralded the event, saying: “We wanted to build on the success of last year’s symposium hosted by Les Ambassadours Casino in Mayfair, London. Bringing industry thinkers leaders together provides an ideal opportunity to hear their views on the sector, learn from their insights, and re-inform the development team responsible for ICE.”

He added: “It also gives us an opportunity to share an interesting plan to celebrate ICE 2024, which will be the last edition of the show to be held in ExCEL London, and discuss the next chapter in ICE history, with the move, of course, to Barcelona in 2025. I’m sure there will be a lot of questions about what to expect from the move, and a senior team led by Clarion Gaming MD Stuart Hunter, who oversaw the six-month bidding and evaluation process, will be present to take a closer look at all the opportunities presented by the move.”

“Participants in the 2023 symposium will also receive a keynote speech titled ‘Gambling Investment Landscape’ from Simon French, managing director of growth capital solutions and travel and leisure at Panmuir Gordon. After five years at Whitbread PLC, Simon participated in equity research, starting with an IPO of 888 and 32Red, and later co-founded the boutique advisory business, which works with public and private companies in the gambling sector.

“We received a fantastic response from invited guests, and we are very grateful to Simon Thomas, president of the Hippodrome Casino, for kindly hosting the symposium.”
